2011 Scholarship Recipients
In May 2011, FEC awarded scholarships totaling $96,500 to 54 East Chicago students pursuing higher education. A total of 35 high school graduates earned college scholarships, 8 students received book grants, and 11 adults received Continuing Education Scholarships. Using these funds, students will matriculate at colleges in Indiana and across the United States.
Annual dollar amounts awarded have grown from $20,000 in 1998, to $205,500 in 2011. The total value of scholarships awarded through 2011 is $3,340,000.
