Meet Current Scholars
The 2009 Scholarship Recipients
Awards for 2009 totaled 91,000. There were new one-time book grants, 10 Continuing Education Scholarships, 30 new high school graduate scholarships and the Foundation’s continuing support for existing students who have received scholarships in years past. Annual dollar amounts awarded have grown from $20,000 in 1998, to $270,000 for 2009. The grand total awarded for all years to date is $2,598,000.
College-bound student applicants who did not receive a scholarship were recognized for their hard work with a one-time $500 book fee scholarship. In addition to the traditional high school graduate scholarships, ten $1,000 one-time Continuing Education Scholarships were given to adults for continuing education.
