WINTER FUNDING ROUND 2008 GRANT APPLICATION

Application Guidelines
The Foundations of East Chicago is proud to announce that applications are now available for its Winter Funding Round. Both new and continuing programs are eligible to apply for this funding round. The eligibility requirements are as follows:
> The applying organization must be a valid 501 (c)(3) organization in good standing with the IRS
- Governmental agencies along with organizations that receive tax dollars for their operations are also eligible.
> The organization must be located within East Chicago,
- If not, the program that you are applying for must be operated in East Chicago or serve East Chicagoans.
Funding Limitations
Your proposed Grant Request cannot exceed any of the following limits:
> 49% of applicant’s 2008 operating budget; or
> $25,000, whichever is the lesser amount.
> Administrative costs are capped at a maximum of 15% of the Grant Request.
Submission Guidelines
The Foundations will ONLY except applications submitted via the web. We WILL NOT accept any hard copy, or emailed applications for this funding round. Submission instructions are available within the application. All grant applications must be submitted no later than, November 6, 2008 at 1:00 p.m.
Any applications submitted after this date and time are not subject to funding.
Your organization will be notified by letter as to the action of the Board of Directors by December 12, 2008. No information regarding the status of your application will be available before this date.
The Foundations of East Chicago encourages all applicants to submit their grant request as soon as possible. This will allow staff sufficient time to review the entire application to ensure all required information has been submitted.
